D and F Removal: A policy approved by the Academic Senate which allows students to request recomputation of their cumulative GPA after they have repeated the same course in which they received a D or F grade. A course which is no longer offered is not a candidate for the D and F removal process. Any request for exception to this policy should be sent to the Academic Senate Grading Committee. A "Removal of D and F Form" is available at Service Counter 107B, Administration Building . Only the most recent grade will count in the student's cumulative GPA.
Incompletes: The grade of "I" used by an instructor at the end of a term to designate incomplete work in a course. Incompletes should be used only when the student is unable to complete the requirements of the course in the term registered because of illness, military service, hardship, or death in the immediate family. Make sure to consult the syllabus of the class in which you want the incomplete to learn the specific polices held by that professor or instructor.
