CogLab Website: http://coglab.wadsworth.com/index.html

You will use this site to register for a student account, for which you will need a registration code which you obtain when you buy CogLab online (don't buy used copies of the registration code).

Once registered, you will need the following information:

GroupID: Psy263
Password for students to create accounts: basketball

It is important to register for this group so that all of your data is placed in the right directory and you get credit for completing the demos.

CogLab Experiments - There will be a total of 12 CogLab experiments or demonstrations assigned throughout the summer. Through the term, you will be assigned various CogLabs which you will have to complete online (each takes 30-45 minutes). Each of these will be experiments like the ones you are reading about in the text. After you complete the experiment, you will be able to view your data, as well as global averages (the data of everyone who has ever done the demo). You will then write a brief one paragraph summary indicating what the experiment tested, what the expected results were (CogLab gives you this for free, just paraphrase, don't plagiarize), and if your own personal results matched the expected results. If your results do not match the global averages, provide a 1-2 sentence “best guess” as to why you think this was the case. As with the homework assignment, I will count your best 8 CogLabs (5% each) so either do more than 8 and I'll take your top marks, or just 8 and they all count. Again, the target date for completion is the Monday after the CogLab is assigned, but this is just a suggested schedule to keep you on track and focused. So long as all assignments are submitted before the end of the course, they will be scored and counted into your mark
