Get data from Manda in lab!

**You are expected create "sufficient access" to SPSS that you will be able to complete your labhomework
each week and turn it in on time. During Lab meetings Jayson will try very hard to complete the
"Walk Thru" portions of each homework. But you should plan to complete the "On Your Own" portions
outside of lab and get them turned in on time!!

There are several computers with SPSS in 230 Burnett Hall. The room is supposed to be open during
"business hours" but you are welcome to use the room any time Burnett Hall is open - ask for the 230 door combo.

It is likely to be worthwhile to purchase a copy of SPSS. One of the reasons we don't purchase a
textbook, lab manual, etc. is so that you can put those resources to getting a copy of SPSS. There are two
things to consider: 1) some of the less expensive versions of SPSS do not include"GLM: Repeated Measures"
which we be using for several labs (including the first one). Versions referred to as
"Standard GradPack" include the "GLM: Repeated Measures" module we will be using (Grad Basics doesn't and
Grad Premium is paying for stuff we won't use), 2) Should you
purchase the 6mo or 12mo versions? If you are planning to take Psyc451 in the Spring, we will be using
the same version of SPSS that we will be using this semester.
